Hamlet Versions

In my English class, we are reading Shakespeare's Hamlet. Yesterday, we watched four different versions of actors performing Hamlet's speech, "To be or not to be..." Each actor brought their own style to the speech, which made every speech different from each other. Laurence Oliver's version of Hamlet was pretty boring. It took place on a cliff overlooking the sea, which represented a part of the speech. Zaffirelli's version was better than Oliver's because its was less boring and the color scheme was more interesting. Mel Gibson was the actor in this version and he did a pretty good. Branaugh's version of Hamlet was older and didn't catch my action as much, but Almereyeda's version of Hamlet was the best one. It was the literature of Hamlet but based in a modern twist.
